There’s a special kind of magic in the air right after the sun sets here in Juba. I set up my camera to capture that fleeting moment, and this timelapse is the result.

In the beginning, you can see the last remnants of the day – the soft outlines of houses and a hill against a fading blue sky. But the real star of the show is the almost full moon, which grows in brilliance as the world below darkens. By the end, everything else has disappeared into the night, leaving only the silent, watchful moon and a couple of lonely lights. It’s a simple, yet profound, reminder of the beauty that unfolds when the world gets quiet.
